Troubleshooting: Where did my reels and media go?
If you’re using ReelCrafter and suddenly can’t see your folders, reels, or tracks, don’t panic! Most likely, the app is in mobile view, which causes the folder sidebar and possibly the app sidebar to be hidden. Here’s how to find your folders again.
Why Does This Happen?
ReelCrafter adjusts to your screen size. On smaller screens or when your browser window is narrow, both the folder sidebar and sometimes the app sidebar (which includes the Dashboard and media libraries) are hidden to save space. When this happens, you’ll only see the current folder by default (likely the Unfiled folder), which can make it seem like your reels and media are missing. Don’t worry—they’re all still there!
How to Fix It
Follow these steps to locate your folders:
- Look for the folder icon
In mobile view, you’ll see a small folder icon in the top left corner of the audio library (next to the folder name). - Tap or click the folder icon
This will open the folder list where you can navigate to your other folders. - Switch folders
Click on any folder name to view its contents. Your reels and tracks should now appear. - Resize your browser window (if on desktop)
If you’re on a desktop, try making your browser window wider. This will often switch the app back to desktop view, bringing back the folder sidebar and the full app sidebar (including the Dashboard and media libraries).
Quick Tip
If you often switch between mobile and desktop, keep this in mind: depending on your screen width, the folder sidebar and app sidebar may or may not be visible.
