Analytics Retention Periods (by Plan)

ReelCrafter stores analytics (views, plays, completions, and similar engagement data) for a limited time based on your plan. This article explains how long analytics are kept and what happens when you change plans.

Analytics Retention by Plan

What “Retention” Means

Retention is the period during which analytics remain available in your account. Once analytics age past your plan’s retention window, they are automatically removed and no longer visible in your dashboard.

Changing Plans

When you change plans, your analytics follow the retention rules of your new plan:

  • Upgrading (e.g., Starter → Professional):

Future analytics can be stored longer, up to the new plan’s limits. Older analytics that have already expired cannot be restored.

  • Downgrading (e.g., Professional → Starter):

Your analytics will be trimmed to match the retention limits of your new plan.

  • Downgrading to Free (or coming off Hold onto Free):

Free accounts do not show any analytics. All historical analytics will be hidden, and no new analytics are recorded while on Free.

  • Switching to Hold:

Analytics freeze. You keep access to analytics allowed by the plan you had immediately before Hold. When you leave Hold, your new plan’s retention limits apply — meaning some analytics may no longer be visible if the new plan allows less history.

Cancellation and Reactivation

If you cancel your subscription, your analytics are preserved during the standard post-cancellation grace period. After that, your account and data are handled according to our cancellation and deletion policies.

If you reactivate on a paid plan before deletion, analytics will again be kept according to the retention period for your new plan.
