External Links: Your social and web links
The External Links block displays links to your website, social profiles, and other online destinations as clickable icons. You can set defaults in Reel Settings that pre-populate on every new reel, then choose which links to show on each reel.

Setting your defaults in Reel Settings
Add your external links in Reel Settings ▸ Personal Information. Scroll to the External Links section and click Add Link to add each destination.
You can reorder links by dragging the handle on the left side of each entry. The order you set here is the default order they'll appear on your reels.
Using the External Links block in the Reel Builder
When you create or edit a reel, the External Links block shows all the links you've saved in Reel Settings. Use the checkboxes to select which links appear on this particular reel.

Check or uncheck individual links to control what appears on the reel. You can also use Select All or Deselect All to quickly toggle all links.
Display options
The External Links block offers layout options:
- Icon size: Small, medium, or large
- Alignment: Left, center, or right
Supported links
The External Links block only accepts URLs from supported sites. When you add a link, ReelCrafter validates the URL and displays an error if the site isn't supported.
Supported sites include:
- Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon
- YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch
- LinkedIn, IMDb, Behance
- Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Tidal, Audiomack
- Beatport, BeatStars, Splice, Traktrain, Airbit
- Linktree
- PDF files (any URL ending in .pdf)
Common questions
Can I add links that aren't in the supported list?
No. Only URLs from supported sites are accepted. If you need to link to an unsupported site, consider using the Button block instead.
What happens when I add a new link?
New links you add in Reel Settings will automatically appear on all your reels. If you don't want a new link on existing reels, you'll need to manually deselect it on each reel.
Can I reorder links on a specific reel?
The order is set in Reel Settings. To change the order, update it there and it will apply to all reels.
Can I hide the External Links block entirely?
Yes. Click the eye icon in the upper right corner of the block to hide it from your reel.
