Add-ons are optional features you can add to your ReelCrafter subscription. This article covers how add-ons work, how they're billed, and how to add or cancel them.

How add-ons work
Add-ons extend your account with extra functionality, like Custom Domains. They attach to your active subscription.
- Add-ons are billed monthly, even if your main plan renews annually.
- Add-ons can't be purchased during a free trial. Once your trial ends and your plan starts, you can add them.
- Add-ons pause or cancel when your main subscription does.
- Canceling an add-on doesn't affect your main subscription.
The Custom Domain Pack requires a domain you already own. ReelCrafter doesn't sell or register domains. The pack connects a domain you bought elsewhere (like Namecheap or GoDaddy) so your reels can appear on it.
Billing
All add-ons are billed monthly. This is true whether your main ReelCrafter plan is monthly or annual, so an annual plan doesn't make your add-ons annual.
When you add an add-on, you're charged right away (prorated for your current billing period), then monthly until you cancel it. When you cancel an add-on, it stays active until the end of the current monthly period, then stops.
Adding and canceling add-ons
Some add-ons are added right where you use them in your account. The Custom Domain Pack, for example, is added from Account → Custom Domains.
You can review and manage your add-ons and their billing anytime under Billing → Add-ons. To cancel an add-on, open that tab and click Cancel add-on.
Common questions
Do add-ons work on the Free plan?
Yes. The Custom Domain Pack can be added to any plan, including Free.
Can I add an add-on during my free trial?
No. Add-ons can't be purchased while you're on a trial. Once your trial ends and your plan starts, you can add them from your account.
I'm on an annual plan. Are my add-ons annual too?
No. Add-ons are billed monthly for everyone, including customers on annual plans.
What happens to my add-ons if I cancel?
They remain active until the end of your current billing period, then stop along with your subscription.
I added an add-on by mistake. Can I get a refund?
Email support@reelcrafter.com and we'll help. Please reach out to us before opening a dispute with PayPal or your bank. We can usually sort it out quickly, and disputes take much longer to resolve for everyone.
