Files Library: Managing your files

The Files library stores documents and other files you can add to your reels. Upload PDFs and documents for the File Attachments block, or .bank files for the Adaptive Audio (FMOD) block.

Jump to: Navigating your library · Single file actions · Replacing a file · Bulk actions · Common questions

Click Files in the sidebar to open your library. Your files are organized into folders, which you can create and manage from the folder panel on the left.

Replacing a file

When you have a new version of a file, like an updated resume or a rebuilt FMOD bank, replace it instead of uploading it again. Every reel that uses the file will pick up the new version automatically, so you don’t have to go back and swap it out block by block.

To replace a file, open its three-dot menu, choose Replace file, and pick the new version from your computer.

Bulk actions

Select multiple files by clicking the checkbox on each file card, or use the selection tools in the toolbar. Once you’ve selected files, the bulk action bar appears with these options:

  • Edit Tags: Add or remove tags from all selected files at once
  • Move: Move all selected files to a different folder
  • Delete: Remove all selected files from your library

To select files across multiple folders, go to each folder and add files to your selection. Your selection stays put as you move between folders. Click Review selection in the toolbar to see all selected files in one view.

Common questions

What file types can I upload?

PDF, Word documents (.doc, .docx), Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx), CSV, plain text (.txt), ZIP archives, MIDI files (.mid, .midi), and FMOD .bank files. Each file can be up to 2GB.

How do I add a file to my reel?

In the Reel Builder, add a File Attachments block and choose files from your library. Recipients will see a download button for each one. For .bank files, use the Adaptive Audio (FMOD) block instead.

How do I update a file that’s already on my reels?

Use Replace file in its three-dot menu. Your reels will use the new version automatically.

What happens if I delete a file that’s used in a reel?

The file will be removed from any reels that use it, and recipients won’t be able to download it anymore. Check the file’s details page to see which reels use it before you delete it.

Where can I see which reels use a file?

Choose View details from the file’s three-dot menu. The Used in section shows every reel that includes it.

Can I upload audio, video, or image files here?

Audio, video, and image files go in their own libraries (Audio, Video, Images), where they can play and display in your reels. The Files library is for downloadable attachments and FMOD banks. MIDI files are the exception, since they don’t play in the browser.
