Image Library: Managing your images
The Image Library is where you store and organize images for use on your reels. Upload images here for banners, logos, headshots, album art, image galleries, and more.

Navigating the library
Click Images in the left navigation to open your Image Library. The library has two panels:
- Folders panel (left): Shows your folder structure. Click a folder to view its contents. "Unfiled" shows images not in any folder.
- Images panel (right): Shows images in the selected folder. Use the search icon to filter by name, or switch between list and grid view.
Uploading images
Click the upload icon in the top-right corner to upload images from your computer. ReelCrafter accepts JPG, PNG, and GIF formats. WebP is not supported.

Single image actions
Click an image to select it, or click the three-dot menu to access actions:
- View: Open the image detail page
- Preview full size: Open the full-resolution image in a new tab
- Download original: Download the image file you uploaded
- Rename: Change the image name
- Move to folder: Organize into a folder
- Delete: Move to Trash
Note: Images set as your default logo or headshot cannot be deleted. To delete them, first choose a different default in Design Defaults.
Bulk actions
Select multiple images using the checkboxes, then use the action bar that appears:
- Edit tags: Add or remove tags from all selected images at once
- Move: Move all selected images to a folder
- Delete: Move all selected images to Trash (default images will be skipped)
Tip: You can select images from different folders. Use Review selection to see everything you've selected.
Common questions
Where can I see which reels use an image?
Click the image to open its detail page. The "Used in Reels" section shows all reels containing that image.
What image formats are supported?
ReelCrafter accepts JPG, PNG, and GIF formats. WebP images are not supported.
Is there a file size limit?
Individual images can be up to 20MB. For best performance, we recommend optimizing large images before uploading.
How do I set a default logo or headshot?
Go to Reel Settings → Design Defaults and select images from your library. These defaults will be used on new reels.
Why can't I delete an image?
Images set as your default logo or headshot are protected from deletion. Choose a different default first, then delete the image.
What size should my images be?
It depends on how you'll use the image. See Image size guidelines for specific recommendations for banners, logos, album art, and more.
