How Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal Work
ReelCrafter uses subscriptions that renew automatically, so your reels, analytics, and share links stay online without interruption. This guide explains how trials work, how renewal dates are calculated, supported payment methods, and how to manage your billing.
1. Starting With a Free Trial
During your trial, you have full access to paid features, including:
- Higher storage
- Full analytics
- Advanced reel tools
When your trial ends
Your account immediately moves into a canceled state:
- Paid features turn off
- Published reel links stop working
- Your content stays stored for a limited time
- To continue, you must choose a plan (Free, Starter, Professional)
Why trials don’t auto-convert
Trial users often upload more content than the Free plan allows, so we require you to actively choose a plan.
If you select Free or Starter, you may need to remove files before reactivating.
Expired trial account cleanup
- We always email before deleting recent trial uploads
- Very old, inactive trial accounts may be cleaned up without notice
2. How Renewal Dates Work
ReelCrafter subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
Monthly plans
- Renew on the same calendar day each month.
- If a month doesn’t include that day (for example, February 30), the renewal occurs on the last valid day of the month.
Annual plans
- Renew exactly 12 months after your start date.
3. Renewal Reminders
We send renewal reminders based on plan type and regional regulations.
Reminders always include:
- Renewal date
- Amount
- Cancellation instructions
- Link to update payment method
- Billing portal link
These are required service notifications and can’t be unsubscribed from.
4. Payment Methods
ReelCrafter supports the following payment methods:
Credit & Debit Cards
- All major cards supported.
- Our billing platform automatically retries failed payments.
PayPal — Important Notes
PayPal uses a billing agreement (BAID) instead of a credit card number.
This creates a few differences:
1. Canceling your subscription in ReelCrafter stops all future renewals, but it does not cancel the PayPal billing agreement stored in your PayPal account.
2. Canceling the billing agreement in PayPal does not immediately cancel your ReelCrafter subscription
Instead:
- The payment method becomes invalid
- Your next renewal attempt fails
- You enter our normal dunning (retry) period
- After all retries fail, your subscription will automatically cancel
During this period:
- Your subscription remains active until the billing term ends
- No new charges will be processed
- You may see “payment failed” emails from our billing system
3. If you want to fully cancel immediately, cancel in ReelCrafter, not PayPal.
5. Managing Your Subscription
Use these direct links to manage your subscription:

Cancel add-ons

(Add-ons always follow your main subscription’s billing cycle.)
6. What Happens After You Cancel
When you cancel:
- Your subscription stays active until the end of your billing period
- After that, your account moves into a canceled state
- Published reel links stop working
- You cannot create new reels, upload media, or access paid features
- Your content remains stored for a limited time
We will send an email before removing content from a canceled account.
Reactivate anytime (before deletion)
You can return on any plan:
- Professional Plan: restores full access and the highest storage
- Free or Starter Plans: you may need to remove files if you exceed limits
7. Auto-Renewal Compliance
ReelCrafter follows regional auto-renewal and subscription rules, including:
- California Automatic Renewal Law (ARL)
- EU/UK consumer renewal rules
- Requirements for clear disclosures and effortless cancellation
Renewal reminders are sent to meet these obligations.
